Local Attractions • The Burren (13 km)- The Burren lies south of Galway in County Clare, Ireland. The name Burren is from the Irish bhoireann meaning a stony place. Its formation has lain unspoiled since the ice-age and is composed of limestone, occuping an area of approximately 300 sq km.
• Cliffs of Moher (16 km)- The cliffs of Moher, plunge 700 feet to the sea and extend for five miles. One of the most awe inspiring parts of Ireland and next time you hit land its the East Coast of the United States
• Connemara (72 km)- One of the last unspoilt areas of Ireland where the first language is usually Irish. This natural terrain and unspoilt environment offers the visitor a wonderland of sights, experiences, adventure and activities.
• Bunratty Castle (29 km)- Bunratty castle was built in 1425 and authentically restored in 1954. The folk park is situated on 26 acres and recreates 19th century Ireland. Features include a recreated village street, farmhouses, a watermill, a blacksmith's, Mac's pub, a church. |

Follow directional signs for n85 (Lahinch / Enistymon road) At first major roundabout (Cusack Roundabout) , take n85 exit. (Woodstock also sign-posted) . After 0.5 miles, turn left for Woodstock at 'One Mile Inn'. Drive for 0.75 of a mile to reach Woodstock Hotel on the left hand side. From Shannon Airport: Exit the airport and drive for approximately 2.5 miles until you reach the intersection with N18 (Limerick-Ennis-Galway Road) . Keep to the left and follow directions for Ennis. Once in Ennis, take the N85 (Lahinch / Enistymon road) exit at Cusack roundabout (Woodstock also sign-posted) . After 0.5 miles, turn left for Woodstock at 'One Mile Inn'. Drive for 0.75 of a mile to reach Woodstock Hotel on the left hand side. From Limerick: Follow N18 (Limerick-Galway Road) to Ennis, through Newmarket-on-Fergus and Clarecastle. Continue to follow N18, and take the Lahinch / Enistymon exit (N85) at the Cusack roundabout (Woodstock also sign-posted) After half a mile, turn left at the 'One Mile Inn' and drive for 0.75 of a mile to reach Woodstock Hotel on the left-hand side. From Galway: Turn off main Galway - Dublin road (N6) at Oranmore roundabout and turn on to N18 (Limerick Road) . Continue on N18 through Clarinbridge and Gort to Ennis. On approach to Ennis town, turn right at first roundabout (at Sheils Statoil filling station) . At Cusack roundabout, take last exit for Lahinch / Enistymon Road (N85) . (Woodstock also sign-posted) After 0.5 miles, turn left for Woodstock at 'One Mile Inn'. Drive for 0.75 of a mile to reach Woodstock Hotel on the left hand side.
